Beauty for Ashes

Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, this day that commemorates our mortality by considering our death. But out of ashes, God promises to bring beauty. This is no more clearly seen than on the cross. This instrument of death, of ashes, becomes the place where beautiful life is made possible. And from this instrument of death, Jesus utters seven sayings that are beautiful. Beauty instead of Ashes.
