Unvarnished Jesus
Lent is ultimately about renewing our union with Jesus. But is the Jesus we envision a true picture of who really walked the road to Jerusalem, to the cross, and ultimately to the resurrection? Or, is the Jesus we follow layered with the varnish of our own desires, assumptions and presuppositions, so that he looks like a version of ourselves?
This Lent, we’re attempting to strip away the layers of varnish we’ve created, and see Jesus for who he truly is as we follow him on the journey toward Jerusalem found in Luke 9-19. Join us along the road!
